Make - A - Wish

In 2022 Make-A-Wish of Connecticut contacted us about a 9 year old boy named Luca. Luca was battling cancer, and his one wish was to have an Australian Labradoodle. They asked us for an Australian Labradoodle and we happily obliged. We wanted to help Luca to have a puppy to keep him company, lift his spirits, and make his wish come true!

Stony Brook Hospital

At Stony Brook Hospital we like to bring our adorable puppies for Staff Mental Health Days. Working hard and saving lives can be very stressful and exhausting, so the staff gets to take some time to visit, play, and snuggle our puppies to help relieve some of their stress!

This is 7 year old Harrison. His family was in a horrific accident and transported to Stony Brook University Hospital. His whole family was admitted but sadly Harrison passed away. Before he did, his parents donated as many organs as needed to save multiple children and adults. Harrison's younger sister was having a difficult time due to the loss of her brother so her therapist recommended a puppy. When the family contacted Labradoodles of Long Island, we donated a puppy. Upon picking up the puppy, we realized the puppy was born the day Harrison passed. Here is a picture of the family at our last Doodle Romp.

This is Gracie, a local child who at the end of 2nd grade started feeling severe headache and didn't know why. A scan discovered a large mass in her brain. Her physical therapist had suggested a dog for exercise and to help with balance. Labradoodles of Long Island gave her Paisley.  Gracie is now 14 years old and her and Paisley are best friends.

Pre-School Therapy Dog Session

Pre-Schoolers can have a very hard time adjusting to being in school and away from home for the first time. So we enjoy bringing puppies to play and visit the kids in hopes to help them adjust and have some fun!
